-many weapons used such as guns, knifes ect
- shadows and low key lighting
- either slow music or fast paced music during chase scene
- settings include, dark places such as forests, abandoned houses ect
-black and red used to show evil, white to show pure and innocence

Plot:
A group of sorority sisters try to cover up the death of their house-sister after a prank gone wrong, only to be stalked by a serial killer.

Many conventions are used in this clip, for example at the start high key lighting is used, and then when things start to go bad low key lighting comes in to highlight the fact something bad is going to happen. They then go on to a dark lit road in the middle of no where, which is where a thriller is usually set and a weapon is used to kill the victim.

Plot:
Derek Charles (Idris Elba), a successful asset manager who has just received a huge promotion, is blissfully happy in his career and in his marriage to the beautiful Sharon (Beyoncé Knowles). But when Lisa (Ali Larter), a temp worker, starts stalking Derek, all the things he's worked so hard for are placed in jeopardy.

During this clip many conventions are used such as low key lighting, female victim and weapons. Although a convention is challenged when the man becomes the victim and the woman becomes obsessed.
